I may be not an expert in fixing any problems related to fxing wordpress but I just want to share with you what had happened to me and my blog. I was happily posting and blogging in my blog, then one day (November 16, to be exact), when I login to my blog admin page…the only thing I can see is a white blank page. It seem to be running but my page only displayed a blank page. I immediately try to fix it by accessing my account at my old server (I mention about changing server here) but I failed to find the error.
So, the next thing a do, which almost all bloggers do, is to ask for help in forums. I post my problems in Malaysia Bloggers Forum. I followed their advice but I only found the answer when reading LiewCF reply. Actually, it was Andrew Ooi video that make me realize my problems (white screen of death) but it was already to late because I already mess up my database and added to that I don’t back up my database. Initially, it was only a php coding problem but I end up ‘murdering’ my own blog. I was supposed to make a back up for my database so i can fix it without losing my content. Well, it was a lesson to remember. Unlike me, a fellow blogger of mine save her blog just by backing up her database and doing the right things, calm down.
So, I decide to change my server to begin a new chapter of my blogging and I choose a local web hosting, netKL.com. I manage to change my domain to the new server but I does take me a few days to settle things between my old web hosting and the new one. That’s why you can see me blogging again. But after this migration, I faced a new problem which I’m going to write in my next post. I really want to share what happen so that no one will repeat my mistake again. Until then, SILOPO…
